NHISS2022: THE NEW COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM GOES LIFE

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As we all know all too well, scientific software has become an invaluable asset to the general science and technology community. However, it faces the ever-increasing challenges of maintaining and developing new computational approaches and algorithms in the world where new computing hardware and technologies are emerging on a yearly basis. Therefore, a new collaborative platform for modular scientific software development (mqcp.edison.re.kr) was introduced at the first NHISS conference in 2020. In the meantime, the platform has reached a level of maturity that offers prospects for collaborative development encompassing contributors from all over the world.

During the forthcoming conference there will be an ample opportunity to present new ideas in the realm of scientific computing and to discuss prospects for their collaborative implementation within the scope of the new platform. The primary focus will be on computational chemistry algorithms and software for modeling chemical dynamics and chemical structure, catalysis, excited electronic states, relativistic effects, and spectroscopy. However, the contributions from all branches of computational science – physics, solid state theory, machine learning, etc. – are cordially welcome. For more information on the conference, please have a look at https://www.edison.re.kr/web/nhiss/home.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I have a great pleasure in inviting you to present an Invited Lecture (25+5 minutes) at NHISS2022. The main theme of the conference is “THE NEW COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM GOES LIFE”.

If you are interested in presenting your research during the conference, you are welcome to submit an abstract of your contribution, which will be evaluated by the organizing committee. When submitting the abstract, please use the submission button on the upper panel.

We sincerely hope that you will be able to accept this invitation, which will assist in bringing success to the conference. As a token of appreciation, the conference fee of the attendees will be covered.

With best wishes

Cheol Ho Choi, Michael Filatov and Ruth Lee
